Gardens and The Bible!

Hello! Thanks for visiting 🙂

Today on The Morning Thing we shared some interesting and surprising facts that you might not have known about your garden! Did you know that Deer (with a running start) can jump up to 8 feet? That means that if you have a fence or a hedge around some of your garden items, the deer might still have a way of being sneaky and munching on your precious flowers.

If you grow tomatoes, did you know that sprinkling a little baking soda on the soil can actually help to reduce acidity and sweeten up your crop!

And if you have hydrangeas in your garden, you can actually manipulate the color of them by altering with the pH balance in your soil! Adding more organic materials like egg shells and coffee grounds to the soil can eventually change a pinker bloom into a more blue bloom!

All of the surprising facts can be found right here: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/gardening/tips/a32232/surprising-gardening-facts/

We also shared some bible verses to help you strengthen your relationship with God, to help you understand the power of faith over fear and worry, and to help you remember that God loves and cares for you.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillippians 4:6-7

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
